This talk brought insights into how to use IoT technology to improve energy efficiency, reduce electricity costs, and lower the carbon footprint.
Silicon Alley Madrid invited me to participate as a speaker on this “First Day of Technology at the Service of Energy Efficiency”.
I prepared the event with great enthusiasm and was very happy to be allowed to help attendees learn that it is possible, and very real, the use of Internet of Things technologies to optimize energy consumption. I demonstrate how active monitoring of electricity consumption and the quality of the signal delivered by power distribution companies can help reduce the electricity bill and improve the environment.
I was able to perform a live demonstration of a commercial monitoring service that I helped to develop. This service has enabled companies and organizations to substantially reduce their electricity bills and increase the lifetime of their electrical appliances.
The event organizers also aimed to promote sustainable energy consumption, waste reduction, and optimal waste treatment.
